A Clean Computer Is A Happy Computer
2 CommentsSomething was terribly wrong. The computer was moving extremely slowly. The screen seemed to be frozen in time. The web page had been loading for about five minutes now, and still was not done. Grace was at a loss as to what the problem might be. She had tried to restart the computer. She had tried reloading the web page. Nothing seemed to be working. She finally gave up and called her Internet service provider. They did a system check from their end and it did not show a problem with her actual connection. They asked her when she had last cleared up her cookies and files. She wasn’t sure what they were talking about so she told them she never had. That may be the problem they informed her. They walked her through the process. Directing her to choose the Clear Internet Files option from the Tools tab, they helped her clean up about two years of files and links. After the clean up was done, which took almost twenty minutes, they had her restart her computer. She did this and then reconnected to the Internet. The pages were loading quickly again, problem solved. She thanked the tech support person and began to surf the web once more.
