Breaking The Law For The Love Of A Child
Comments OffThere have been entirely too many children lost due to abduction. Many of these children are lost forever. In some cases, it is a stranger who takes the child. They may do this for a number of reasons, none of which is good. In other cases, a parent may take the child. Again, this may be done for a number of reasons. It may be in order to punish or get even with the parent who has custody of the child. It may be that the abducting parent truly feels they are doing the right thing. If the later is the case, the question of how to enforce parental child abduction laws comes into play. If the parent does not have custody of the child, they have no legal right to take them. However, if the child is in danger in their current situation does this change the way the law should be enforced? In many cases, this question can create quite the controversy. For instance, if Johnny is in the custody of his mother, his father has no right to take him without the mother’s permission. However, what if Johnny’s mother allows her new boyfriend to abuse Johnny? When his father finds out about this, he will no doubt want to take him away. He may even resort to drastic measures to do so. Should Johnny’s father end up in prison for trying to protect his child? This is a question that gives way to a lot of emotion-fueled debate. It is up to the judge, in most cases, to decide exactly how to enforce this law. If you were the judge on the case, what would you do?
