The First Week Was The Hardest Part Of The Job And Now I Feel A Lot Ore Confident
No CommentsI had a new job at the job centre and for the first month, I was told I would be sitting with a supervisor, as well as training for the job as an adviser. The first week was making a lot of notes as well as a bit of homework but I really enjoyed it. I would watch while people would come and go with question after question for example, how do I qualify for working family tax credit, how long do I get job seekers allowance and so on. There was so much information to digest but I made a notebook full of questions and after hearing the many answers, I would jot down the advice given so that I could build up a picture of what sort of things I could expect as it was getting nearer to the time when I would be dealing with this sort of thing on my own. The ongoing training which I attend each afternoon with the team is a real laugh, there are so many lovely people who work there and they are really helpful to the new starters which makes things a lot easier!
